“I’m very happy that the first adaptation of one of my works was made in Argentina, despite the current context of the dismantling of the national film industry, which has always been hanging by a thread and plagued by problems, but this is clearly and undoubtedly the worst moment. It’s like a kick in the teeth to an industry that has always fought so hard, isn’t it? And the fact that they were able to make it is a sign of the resilience of the creators and the strength of Argentine cinema, which is a very powerful cinema.
